NOBEL LAB,
University of Michigan
This past year I worked as a university research assistant on a project aimed at developing a therapy for volumetric muscle loss. I gained valuable lab experience in techniques such as flow cytometry and FACS, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, cell culture, histology, and imaging. I am confident that my ability to learn these and other techniques quickly would allow me to be successful in any position requiring complex problem solving and quick transition times between projects. Shortly after joining the team, I earned independent responsibilities, such as analyzing scRNA-seq data in Python. My PI commended my ability to learn new experiments and algorithms quickly and commented that my productivity and hard work has been unique in his experience with undergraduates.
